The Brief

Logistically, this is a tough project because it’s in a busy area of London and deliveries must be co-ordinated with other contractors. We’re using a specific type of lorry that has a retractable roof so that materials can be lifted off. We’re also working on bespoke front doors for the townhouses, which we are having manufactured based on the architect’s drawings.

The Approach

Galliford Try’s residential development is a mix of flats and townhouses – of the eight houses, five are private and three affordable housing and of the five-storey block of flats, 45 are affordable and around 20 are private. For the private flats, we are installing pre-finished doorsets with a feature groove, and for the affordable units we are installing internal doorsets, skirting, ironmongery, kitchens and mirrored bathroom cabinets. We are also installing staircases in
the townhouses.
