The Brief

We spent 12 weeks working with Laing O’Rourke on the reception area of this residential new-build in Southwark, 251 central London. This contains both affordable and penthouse accommodation. The design requirements were meticulous. We had to follow detailed architectural instructions and work alongside other trades looking after different parts of the building.

The Approach

The work we completed on 251 Reception is striking. Bespoke ribbed acoustic panelling was transported to site from Spain, which we then fitted to the walls and ceilings. Glass painted walls around the reception area highlight the stainless steel lift fronts we fitted. The reception desk itself had specially manufactured black lacquered panels.
